The Conclave

All we are saying is give peace a chance.

AKA:
The Divine Conclave

Intended to be a meeting between the mages and the Templars, the Conclave, or Divine Conclave to give it its rarely used proper name, was an effort to halt the war between those two factions that had been raging across Thedas. It ended up being the event that kicked off my journey to becoming the Inquisitor, among many other far-reaching consequences. Called to peace talks by Divine Justinia V, the mages and Templars each sent representatives to the Temple of Sacred Ashes in the mountains of Ferelden. Unfortunately, before discussion even began, the building, and everyone in it, save only me, was destroyed in a massive explosion. Many important figures on both sides, though not the actual leaders, were killed, as were the head of the Chantry and many of her most influential subordinates. The peace talks were snuffed out before they could even begin, and the conflict erupted again. I fell out of the Fade, and the rest is history. History I fully recount in this book. Which you should read, because it is quite interesting history.
